Overview
Micromentum is a productivity app for turning small tasks into focused timer sessions. We are committed to being transparent about what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. The short version: Micromentum does not collect personal information and does not transmit your task data to any server.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Data stored locally on your device
Micromentum saves app state and preferences entirely on your device using on-device storage. This data never leaves your device and we cannot access it. It includes:
- Tasks - task titles, selected task durations, and created dates.
- Completed task history - completed task titles, logged durations, and completion dates so the app can show streak and monthly progress.
- Timer state - active timer details so a timer can resume if you leave and reopen the app.
- Onboarding and reminder preferences - whether you completed onboarding and whether you chose a daily reminder hour.
This data is identified only by your device. There is no user account, username, or cloud sync.
1.2 Notifications
If you choose to enable reminders or timer notifications, Micromentum uses Apple notification APIs to schedule notifications on your device. Notification settings are controlled by iOS, and you can change them at any time in the Settings app.
1.3 Data we do NOT collect
- Name, email address, or any other contact information
- Location data
- Camera or microphone data
- Health or fitness data
- Browsing history or cross-app activity
- Advertising identifiers
- Payment card or financial data
2. How We Use Information
All data described in Section 1 is used solely to operate the app on your device: saving tasks, restoring timers, remembering onboarding state, showing progress, and scheduling notifications if you enable them. We do not use this data for advertising, analytics, tracking, or sale to third parties.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, because Micromentum does not collect data that leaves your device.
Apple processes App Store purchases and downloads under Apple’s own Privacy Policy. We do not receive your Apple ID or payment information.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Your Micromentum data lives only on your device. You can delete it at any time by deleting the app from your device. We have no copy of your data on any server and therefore cannot retrieve it on your behalf.
5. Children’s Privacy
Micromentum is a general-audience productivity app. It is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at tannergordondev@gmail.com. Because all app data is stored locally on the device, deleting the app will remove all associated data.
6. Security
Because your task and timer data never leaves your device, it is protected by your device’s own security features, including device passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and iOS file encryption. We do not operate servers that store Micromentum task data.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when we add or change features. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
